Technology

You will find leading-edge equipment at Thomas Family Dentistry because it benefits our patients. Here is information about some of the technology we use and what it means for your experience.

The Dental Laser

We use the dental laser for treating periodontal disease in the most comfortable way possible. The laser combines concentrated light and heat to deliver ultimate precision and accuracy when eliminating diseased gum tissue. It also sterilizes the treated area, which accelerates the healing process.

If you show a lot of gum tissue when you smile, the laser is also useful for a procedure called gum contouring. This procedure removes excess gum tissue to reveal the smile you've always wanted but never knew you had all along.

Rotary Endodontics

Wouldn't it be great if a root canal could be completed faster and in a more comfortable manner? This is precisely what rotary endodontic tools allow us to do.

Rotary instruments are electric, which allows us to be more efficient. They are made of nickel titanium, which is more flexible and reaches the canal more easily. They are also quieter, which is more calming for our patients.

Nitrous Oxide

Has going to the dentist made you feel anxious in the past? Has that anxiety kept you from visiting the dentist regularly? At Thomas Family Dentistry, we understand how you feel, and for this reason, we offer nitrous oxide, also called laughing gas, to help patients feel more comfortable and at ease during dental procedures. Nitrous can be used during most procedures, and it's even safe for children.

Don't let fear keep you from getting the dentistry you need any longer! Contact our office to learn more about nitrous oxide.
